Walter "Walt / Wally" Botley 1914-2004

Born in the United Kingdom Walter Botley created unique, larger than life ventriloquial figures and novelty items. His figures were made of paper mache and wood with beautiful "life-Like" glass eyes. Many of his creations were sold through Gammages ( a toy store in London) and some were sold to the BBC. 

His ventriloquist stage partner is a figure named Jimmy who still sits in an armchair in the family home.

Walter Botley's Uncle was  also was a builder and a Punch and Judy performer. His Uncle created many uniquely distinctive puppets. The pictures below are of his Uncles works. The first one dates back to over a hundred years.
