Counting down the days with a figure a day til I’m home! Today we’re sharing a super rare gem created by the wonderful ventriloquist Walter “Wally/Walt” Botley. We acquired these wonderful figures from their dynamic UK Ventriloquists/Magicians “Derek and Christie” who performed throughout the UK and who also recorded several records. A Wonderful Botley in a Fabulous Home
Its always exciting to discover a new face and we are super pleased to announce this beautiful Walter Botley figure has been found and resides and is protected in Maria Spanos Kapris's amazing collection in the United Kingdom.
This beautiful figure was previously discovered by UK Collector and our friend Lee Roberts who also found our Oscar. which we will share in a different post.

"I remember my grandfathers workshop in the 1980s. It was full of amazing stuff. I Remember a BBC microphone ventriloquist doll he made with a face one side and face the other side. Remember lots of stuff drying and hanging from the ceiling. It amazed me how he even made the dolls eyes. I remember how passionate he was about it all. I really think that making these dolls was a great outlet. I gather he went through a horrendous time during ww2, and think maybe making these must of been of great help" Rachel Laver (Granddaughter)
